CAN CHILDREN USE OUR SERVICES?
Africarare does not allow anyone under the age of 18 to use Africarare Services.
LAND PURCHASES IN UBUNTULAND
You may purchase virtual land within Ubuntuland. You may edit your metadata, but you must comply with these terms and specifically, you cannot link to or contain any material or content that is illegal. We reserve the right to moderate and/or delete any metadata that does not comply with these terms.
DO YOU SHARE MY PERSONAL DATA?
Information about our users is an important part of our business and we are not in the business of selling our users' personal data to others. Africarare shares users' personal data only as described below and with affiliates of Africarare that are either subject to this Privacy Notice or follow practices at least as protective as those described in this Privacy Notice.
To enable us to provide you the best user experience, we may share your personal data with our marketing partners for the purposes of targeting, modeling, and/or analytics as well as marketing and advertising. You may opt-out of sharing personal data with our marketing partners, unless we have a legitimate interest to do so.
Business transfers: If we enter into negotiations to sell or buy any company, business or assets, we may disclose personal data obtained from you to the prospective seller or buyer. If Africarare or substantially all its assets are acquired by a third party, the personal data we hold about our users and customers will generally be one of the transferred assets. WILL MY PERSONAL DATA BE TRANSFERRED INTERNATIONALLY?
Africarare may transfer your personal data outside of the European Economic Area (“EEA”). Africarare puts in place suitable technical, organizational and contractual safeguards, to ensure that such transfer is carried out in compliance with applicable data protection rules, except where the country to which the personal data is transferred has already been determined by the European Commission to provide an adequate level of protection.

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. We store your personal data on the servers of the cloud-based database management services Africarare engages. We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements
To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.
